General information, not legal advice
BusinessLawyers.ge describes legal services and business-law topics in Georgia. Website content is not advice for a particular company, person, transaction or dispute. No engagement, duty to act or lawyer–client relationship arises merely because someone visits the site, follows a link or sends an inquiry.
1. Website operator
This website is operated by ASSIO LEX AND ASSOCIATES LLC, identification number 404599047, at Besiki Business Center, Besiki 4, 0108 Tbilisi, Georgia. General contact details are +995 555 940 077 and info@businesslawyers.ge. “BusinessLawyers.ge” is the website and service-facing brand used on these pages.
2. No legal advice or reliance
Publications, service descriptions, FAQs, checklists and examples are general explanations. They cannot account for a company’s current charter, ownership, contracts, licences, tax position, deadlines, evidence, counterparties, governing law or commercial priorities. A similar-looking matter may produce a different answer when one fact or date changes.
Do not take or postpone action solely because of website content. Check the current consolidated legislation and relevant official practice, and obtain advice addressed to the facts before a material commitment, filing, notice, payment, termination, dispute step or limitation date. Publication and review dates show when a page was checked; they do not guarantee that no later amendment, court decision or administrative practice exists.
3. Inquiries, conflicts and engagement
Submitting a form, email, message or call request asks the firm to consider an inquiry. It does not oblige the firm to respond within a legal deadline or to accept the matter. An engagement begins only after the firm identifies the client, completes required conflict and acceptance checks, agrees the scope and commercial terms, and confirms the engagement.
Before that confirmation, do not send unnecessary confidential documents, identity records, passwords, payment credentials or time-critical instructions. Identify the parties and the decision date first. No statement on the site promises that a lawyer is monitoring a deadline, court communication, registry filing, regulatory process or counterparty response.
4. Professional secrecy and independence
Georgian law provides duties concerning professional secrecy, client interests, conflicts and the independence of lawyers. Information received from a client or another person seeking legal advice may engage professional-confidentiality rules, but those rules do not turn every website visitor into a client or define the scope of an engagement. The firm may need enough party information to perform a conflict check before receiving substantive documents.
Website statements about confidentiality should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which explains website data handling. Neither page asks a visitor to waive a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
5. No guarantee of outcome
Legal work can improve analysis, documentation and implementation, but outcomes may depend on clients, counterparties, courts, arbitrators, registries, regulators, banks, notaries, experts and facts outside the firm’s control. The website does not guarantee registration, licensing, financing, bank onboarding, transaction completion, settlement, enforcement, a court or arbitral result, timing, cost savings or commercial success.
Examples of processes and deliverables are indicative. The agreed engagement letter or written scope controls the services for a particular matter, including exclusions, assumptions, responsibilities, fees and any separate work by tax, accounting, technical or foreign-law advisers.
6. Jurisdiction and public sources
The site focuses on Georgian business and corporate law and may discuss cross-border issues from a Georgian-law perspective. It does not hold itself out as advice on another jurisdiction. Where a matter involves foreign law, a separate adviser may be required.
Legal pages and publications should cite legislation, registries, regulators, courts or other official public materials rather than competitor law-firm commentary. An external source may change its URL, language, consolidation status or content. Visitors should check the source’s own date and status.
7. Intellectual property and permitted use
Unless another owner is identified, original BusinessLawyers.ge text, branding and site-specific materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules. The visual website is implemented from a law-firm template purchased for authorised use; template components and third-party libraries remain subject to their respective licences.
You may view, print or save reasonable extracts for personal or internal business evaluation with the source identified. You may not present the site as your own, remove notices, republish substantial site content as a competing service, use the content to imply endorsement, or interfere with the site’s operation. Public legislation and official materials remain governed by their own source terms.
8. External links and third-party services
Links are provided for convenience and source verification. ASSIO LEX AND ASSOCIATES LLC does not control an external website merely by linking to it and does not guarantee its availability, security, accuracy or accessibility. A visitor who opens WhatsApp, a public registry, a regulator or another provider becomes subject to that service’s own terms and privacy practices.
The deployment includes account-specific Smartsupp live-chat code and Elfsight applications for WhatsApp chat and social sharing. These widgets remain third-party services; their availability, security and external processing are not controlled solely by the website operator. Their data and storage position is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
9. Availability, security and liability
We aim to keep the website useful and secure, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free code, permanent preservation of a page or immediate correction of every issue. Maintenance, hosting faults, malicious activity, network conditions and third-party changes can affect availability.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for a decision made solely in reliance on general website content or for an external service it does not control. Nothing in this notice excludes a responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits the professional duties governing an accepted engagement, or replaces the terms agreed for that engagement.
10. Governing framework, updates and contact
This notice and the operation of the Georgian website are governed by applicable Georgian law. A dispute cannot be assigned to a forum by this general notice where mandatory rules or an agreed engagement provide otherwise. The operator may update the notice to reflect changes in the site, services or law; the effective and review date identifies the published version.
Questions about the website or a correction request can be sent to info@businesslawyers.ge. A legal-services inquiry should use the consultation form and identify the parties before substantive confidential information is sent.
